1) Can we learn more about your background? Are you really a native of Detroit?
Born and raised, how horrifying? I spent some years of my childhood bouncing in Rochester, New York.. but they weren't any years that meant anything. All the time that has counted and worth a tick was spent here in RoboCop-Land.
2) Can you tell us when you started showing interest in fetish modeling?
I first got started in modeling with cyber clothing for a friends online store. Soon after I felt the soft touch of latex and fell in love. With Google by my side I sought out an archive of saved photos of all the very best fetish models in their killer outfits. A slip of lace, the hold of latex, the slap of leather... thank you internet, where would I be without you? 3
3) Have you ever been involved in any fetish event, be it as a performer or an attendee? What kind of performance can we expect from you?
I have attended various fetish events and fetish club nights... probably too many to list. However, I am usually just a slinker in the shadows rather than a performer. I have done skit-types and straight runway performances. I once was bound to a large wooden wheel and spun wildly. Once someone threw knives at me. Countless times, I've beaten people... all in all, I'm game for anything. If given the chance, I would love to do a pole dance in latex for a crowd... ah, one day, one day.
4) You’re studying in Illustration/Graphic design; what are your future goals when graduating? Are there many current artists influencing you?
Actually I graduated in December, just past. I've got my papers, and official. I got a BFA [Bachelors of Fine Arts] with a major in Illustration and a strong Graphic Design knowledge. Currently, I'm working on making new art, putting pieces in shows, and getting my art name out there... all of my art is submitted under the name "Vivka", as well. Currently I am adoring Audrey Kawasaki, Jeremiah Ketner, Michael Hussar, Zak Smith.... so so many wonderful and talented people out there, indeed.
5) What were your contributions to Fangoria and Rue Morgue magazines?
Oh gosh. This is actually kind of embarrassing. My image was used for the cover of a DVD... a collection of D-grade sci-fi movies, called "Girls From Another World"... I have two copies I've never even opened. I was in advertising for said movie. "Toad Warriors" is one of the films... which is really speaking about the quality of the film. I'm sure its up there with "Troll 2".
6) You do custom painted human hair extensions? Now what’s up with that? Or… well, how do you do that? :D
Yes indeed... this is what I do all day. I work on my etsy storefront where I not only sell original art, art prints, and model prints... but custom human and synthetic extensions and accents. I make everything from synthetic dreads to human hair wigs, and leopard printed accents. I brought in my artistic hand to my love of hair and simply paint the hair, using a paintbrush and dye instead of acrylic.
7) What disappoints you more about the general public’s perception of female alternative models?
That there isnt one. I dont think a whole lot of people know of "alternative" models"... we are not mainstream, we are under the radar... we are the ninja models, that only the select knowledgeable crowds sees.
8) Is there a thin line between your modeling personality and your own private life? Do you like to "play out" in your intimate relationships? Hum hum!
The thin line is about as wide as the Titanic. Not many people in my personal life know much of my modeling, and I don't actively talk about what I'm working on. They know something, but I don't feel a need to share every little detail. I suppose in all forms, all different personas and titles... I'm still a very private person [tho, "mysterious" sounds so much better... doesnt it?] My boudoir is another one of those mysterious places and events... I don't speak vocally about my sex life.
9) ) Is there a time to relax in your life? Any favorite activities when you do so?
I am a huge video game nerd. I adore my Xbox 360 like a child or pet. I am addicted to puzzle games, because I can zone out and "think", as it were. I'm a gamelord with Lumines. My Xbox Live handle is Vivka Rabbit [or was that VivkaRabbit? Space or no, you'll have to find out]. I also live off of NetFlix... bless it, and all the Law and Order: SVU it brings me. I just dont relax much tho... idle hands, as you know. I enjoy keeping busy.
10) Did you get many opportunities to travel for modeling assignments? Any chance to see you in Montreal?
In waves, I come across opportunities. I've been to Europe a few times, and my heart lies there. I've bounced all over the US, but oh oh oh, I have not been to Canada in forever and a day. My neglected neighbor, how I miss you. I currently don't have any travel plans... we must start up a "bring Vivka to you" fund somehow, so I may tour more... and more touring means more photos...
