1) Can you share with us a bit about your background or any info about your ethnic heritage?
I am of Korean descent but adopted early on and raised in Ohio. My family is Caucasian and very supportive in what I do.
2) So did you begin as a dancer or as a model first? Are there a lot of benefits to be able to do both?
I began as a dancer and through that started modeling here and there for TFP type shoots by meeting photographers in clubs I worked.
3) When did you realize that you were more attracted to alternative projects?
From the time I started dancing I knew performing was for me and through that I met with Single Cell Productions out of Charlotte, NC notorious for their "Purgatory-the-show" events. I began performing with them doing fetish/horror skits for Purgatory The show, Resurrection and Byte Charlotte. And from that I learned the art of Domination.
4) So is it a good thing or a bad thing to be a petite Asian model? Are you often being offered the same kind of assignments?
It depends. Everyone has different tastes and what they consider beautiful to them. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. So there is negatives and positives both but that is with anyone. My assignments are very versatile, everything from fetish to goth to pinup, rock.
5) Did we really saw you as a vampire (we love vampires too!). How easy for you is it to play a specific character before the camera? Do you have training as an actress?
Yes I've played everything from vampires, zombies, demons, to Goddesses, military Captains and genies. But my first love does lie with vampires. I have performed at quite a few vampire community and themed events around NYC, Brooklyn, CT and NC. Its very easy for me to get into a character as I love to be creative but a little on the dark side. Such as the whole horror genre. Movies, occult, vampires and witches. But I've had very little professional training. Besides a little modeling training at John Casablanca modeling in Charlotte NC in which I graduated from their few week program. But mostly just a lot of time and experience in performing. Whether it is dancing or performing or modeling.
6) Tell us a bit about your life as a pro Domina. What got you started and how would you describe your style as a Mistress?
As I said before, the fetish performances is where I first had access to the BDSM scene and alternative lifestyle. I had friends who were in the Dominatrix business and learned from such Dommes such as Mistress Lunasea and Lady Silverfox out of Charlotte,NC. I also attended quite a few workshops on Domination and the safety and techniques of the activities I do with clients. Plus I'm always researching through the internet and books. I describe myself and my style as gothic, stern, caring, approachable, and sadistic. I am very much into heavy corporal and humiliation scenes for the power and amusement it brings me. But my clients and slaves know that as stern or sadistic as I can be everything is safe, sane and consensual.
7) You have met the inestimable Jean Bardot, haven’t you? Can you tell us for what project and was she as gracious as we know she usually is? :D
Yes I have. She's awesome as a sister Dominatrix and a human being. Her skills are impeccable. Shes always a blast to work with and very easy going. But she is a terror to wrecken with if you're on the other side of her hand, whip, face... lol. But shes very professional when it comes to her projects and yes, very gracious. :)
8) How would you describe a typical live fetish performance from Mistress Jadetiger?
My performances are usually dark. Vampires, zombies mixed with some fetish elements of hot wax, spanking, floggings. Most my fetish performance work right now is done with Baron Misuraca so it surrounds his music which is based off his vampire comic book "Flesh and Spirit." So I've played a vampire, zombie and nun for his shows. I also do exotic veil dances in these shows. And right now I perform at NJ's Fixerotica's monthly fetish event at a Platinum Dollz gogo bar. I perform two dance sets with a mix of exotic, veil belly dance, pole dance, burlesque and use of whips, floggers, chairs and hot wax.
9) In your opinion, what’s the worst behavioral trait that a dominatrix can have?
Lack of knowledge in what you are and the activities you perform on a human being. I have learned the safety of everything I offer in session or video and do not perform services of sex or anything I cannot perform properly due to lack of knowledge in those areas. Most of what I do I have had done on me or done to myself first so I know first hand how the bottom feels, which I believe is important to add to your Domination skills. But too many get into it for quick money and don't learn or don't care to learn the proper art of Domination. And then accidents happen and we as a BDSM community look even worse then we already do to the vanilla world. Not to mention a human life was compromised in the process. I believe all tops have a responsibility to ourselves, our bottoms and our BDSM community to represent ourselves in a safe, sane manner at all times.
10) Is there a comic book heroine that you would like to portray for a photo assignment in the future?
Anita Blake. Vampire hunter, necromancer, shape shifter and vampire servant. From the Laurel Hamiton vampire novel and comic book series. She's a petite brunette with a attitude, strong martial arts and fighting training with supernatural powers from all the different bloods she's taken in by the different creatures in the series. And not to mention she has about 5 different boyfriends, some of whom she lives with. All very sexy, some werewolves, some vampires and other shape shifters. But she has to in order to survive due to the "the ardor" For her, she needs sex like a vampires needs blood. Very sexy and empowering series!
11) Do you actually find time to relax? What are your favorite things to do when you’re not on any assignments?
Yes my schedule is flexible so I do. My favorite things are watching movies, dining out and my love of the last couple years, Taekwondo. I am working on my black belt now and hope to have achieved it by this time next year. I like to be active and work out and keep in shape for my modeling and performance assignments and it's hard but worth it in the end result and I love the martial arts and the fact your always learning new things so you can't possibly get bored, and your working out and getting your cardio, learning discipline, self defense, spirituality, balance and mental and physical conditioning.
12) Lastly… have you ever been to Canada? You know that we would like to welcome you in Montreal any time! :D
No I haven't. I have a good friend from there who was a slave of a good friend on mine. He resides in NC for the past several years. He always said how nice it was there and how good the scene was.
