Maxine X
Maxine X is quite a busy girl, running her little empire and also recently becoming a television star. Busy as she is, she still took some time for us and sent material that could've started an entire website by itself! Thanks, pretty lady!

1) Being a star of the adult entertainment business, how do you manage to always be that cheerful, easily reachable and always positive?

Thank you Ben! I've have always been told I am a cheerful and possitive person since I was little. I think because I have always been, I just am. lol I think the secret is, "Do what you love and that will show through". I am happy I haven't changed who I am because I did some movies and was on "Webdreams - Season III" that would be silly if I did.

2) What is the best advantage in working with your spouse? And are there disadvantages?

The best advantage with working with my spouse is that he's my manager, and producer, .etc. Not only is he able to do things I don't know how to do, like produce, edit, websites, etc. he also gets to be the tough business guy... like I always get photographers and producers to go through him if they want to book me, because he can get the right rates and be tough about it and I can stay nice and friendly because of it. He has definitely managed my career and I am very greatful for it. Also he is my chaperone and bodyguard too. lol

I don't think there are too many disadvantages in having my spouse as my partner, except if I want to book a shoot, I have to make sure we can both travel there, because we always go together and sometimes he is just too busy with our business for me to take random shoots. Sometimes it is too costly for both of us to travel and we just don't go because it may not be worth the price. So I don't work with as many other producers as some models do.

3) Some friends from the first season of Webdreams admitted to us that the filming experience was an exhausting one (no privacy for almost a year, film crew litterally sharing your conjugal bed, etc.). As a star of the third season, did you had to establish your own rules first to be able to conserve a little shed of sanity?

LOL, that's so funny... We actually loved the camera and the crew. Scott misses filming with them. And I love any reason to get dressed up and go out somewhere (I'm an exibitionist).

My only thing was, I was getting tired of them wanting to shoot me without makeup... I was like, man, you have me with no makeup so much... and I love wearing makeup... it can take me like four hours to get ready for a big shoot and I enjoy that.... but me with no makeup... yuck... So I started locking the bathroom door till I was ready... lol

And yes, it was exhausting, but fun. We travelled so much and we did so much that year, Webdreams couldn't even shoot with us or they couldn't air it all because they had so much of us already... that is why we are in every episode. One Episode is sometimes a whole weekend combined together. Sometimes more then one event... We went on trips that were shot for Webdreams but couldn't fit in the show... It was a crazy year!

But really what happened, was that we made friends with the crew and the producers... We actually went out on regular dinners and drinks together... we hung out and had them over at our house and we still remain friends with them... that is how it worked for us. We enjoyed each other as friends.

4) Not many people on this world can claim to have their name to their own sex toys line. We've read that all of this is part of a master plan of yours to educate people. Can you elaborate a bit?

Yes! How it all started was: for many years I've been an avid adult store shopper... lol I love adult stores, vibrators, shoes, clothes and of course porn. I actually don't shop at malls or regular stores too often... and when I do, I'm a little confused what to buy. And I actually just hoped to be a model on someone's adult toyline.

But as I did more and more conventions, I had more and more couples and girls come up to me telling me they loved my "Squirting Movies". And how could they learn to squirt? Well I love helping couples and girls with their sex life and making the bedroom more fun for the regular person. I am so Pro Sex as a healthy thing for girls and couples. So I would constantly tell all my tricks and what I have learned... and felt great helping them.

How the actual toyline got started was... I met a guy at the bar of the AVN Awards as we were waiting for a drink, 'cause the bartender was so slow. And we started talking and like all conventions, you exchange business cards... well his card was Adult Toys...

And I said, "I have always wanted my own Toyline".

And he said, "We were talking with Tera Patrick about being on our line, but we haven't hear back from her".

And so on...

And when we got back to Toronto, Scott and him talked back and forth about working with me as their first model to partner up with on a toyline.

And if you watch Webdreams, we shot us going there to meet them and when we first received our demo toys in the mail.

Scott suggested we do a "How To" DVD / Toy Combo where I teach you how to Squirt... because he is an Editor and I am a Squirter!

After it was done, we contacted AVN Magazine and they posted our press release here.

You can also find my tips on squirting here.

5) On the subject of conventions, how would you rate their importance for an adult entertainer? Are they a necessary annoyance or a real way to make connections?

I think adult conventions are great! You just want to go to the right ones or you can just end up wasting your time and money.

Like everyone goes to AVN every year in Vegas. Every January the Adult Expo, AVN Awards and Internext go back to back during the same time and just after each other. Check out the www.AVN.com to find all the events.

And for Canada TheEverythingToDoWithSex is the Bomb!

My favorite of event is FetishCon I have been going for five year this August. This is the best fetish event ever... the whole hotel is booked for fetish fans and industry. This is where I really got started and met all the right people for my career! You meet people to shoot with there and to network with throughout the rest of the year.

This August will be the first time I will be a "Guest of Honor" at the show! I will have my own booth provided by them and I will be promoting myself and signing photos. I am extremely excited.

The reason why good conventions are great for a models/performers' career is because you get to network and meet people. Not just fans, but you can network and connect for business... And being from Canada helped us because we are now in the U.S. Industry's Circle.

The best place to network is after the convention... at the bars, at dinners, at the big parties that are always going on during those times... People like to know models as people, not just a webmaster who bought a picture of a girl and made a website... you're a real person at conventions... and when people talk about you, they'll say, "Yeah! I know her, she's really sweet" or whatever. People will connect with you in their "Industry Circle" more.

6) Some people who are really into the BDSM lifestyle seem to frown upon adding hardcore action into video/film productions, claiming that it can aggravate violent and/or non-consensual stereotypes sometimes believed by outside observers and the mainstream medias. Have you given any thought about this?

I believe that everyone has their own kink and their beliefs. I wouldn't judge a fetish person because they only do tickling or foot fetish. Or a model who only shoots in fetish clothes and doesn't do what I do.

I do what I do because I like it. And they should all do what they like too. I actually feel empowered sexually as a woman doing hardcore bondage sex in my videos... to me it's a release and I feel empowered and great after.

I don't worry about what other people say about that. I know what we do is "Safe, Sane and Consensual" and all my models have fun and want to shoot with us again.

7) What are your projects for 2009? Can you already announce that you'll be doing something that "you haven't done before"?

Well their is always new things... When Scott gets going, he thinks of all these creative Fetish and Sex Toys and Ideas for our movies. I don't know if there is anything new just yet except that I will be a "Guest of Honor" for the first time at FetishCon, which is a real honor to be there with all my favorite Fetish models!

I did also audition for my first HBO show with speaking parts. They have simulated sex and were looking for adult models who could get naked, so I was asked to audtion by someone running it and I am just waiting to see if I get a "call back".

8) Lastly, when will you come visit us in Montreal? It actually gets warmer in the summertime, hmmmm…!

I love Montreal in the summer time... we usually go in the summer, even for a weekend trip. I love to shop there on the main street, I love to see all the strip bars (that's hot), and I love to eat breakfast in the Village.

I have been asked to shoot with Gil Perron for my first latex shoot ever! He's in Montreal and shoots Bianca Beauchamp. I am dying to shoot with him soon! And he says he really wants to shoot with me too... Shooting with him will be amazing for my career and an honor. I am supposed to go to my friends' wedding this summer there and I just have to find out all the dates... so maybe I will be there in May or June.

Thank you so much Maxine!
