From her own words: "My name is Katja. I'm a Dutch transvestite and I'm a full on fetish girl!" How can we ask for more?
1) When did you discover your passion about wearing girls’ clothing?
From a very young age I have been fascinated by tight fitting clothing like pantyhose or fishnet gloves. Coincidence or not, these were all women's garments but I didn't dress up as a woman until my mid teens. I only REALLY started to do so properly ten years ago. You could say I was a fetishist before I was a transvestite.
2) Did you or do you still encounter prejudice and ignorance when people find out about your fetish activities? What’s the best way to deal with that?
I have encountered only one person who had a HUGE problem with me being a girl. That person was ME! I have made life difficult on myself for most of my life and after I finally embraced myself things have been fantastic. My parents and friends are all very supportive and the outside world just doesn't care for the most part. Being and loving yourself is the key.
3) How do you manage to build up confidence just minutes before a performance or photoshoot?
I'm usually not that nervous before performing. I might feel a little tension of excitement but in general, I'm not nervous as a girl. Not even when walking in latex outfits in public. It's like I'm doing what I am supposed to do.
4) Is playing the pony girl one of your favorite activities? What do you get out of it?
I just LOVE the image and concept of a pony girl. They are so cute and sexy and kinky and pretty. I love projecting that image upon myself. Pony play is a wonderful combination of fetish, role play, BDSM, exhibitionism and naughtyness, all of which I like. It's great when I am consistently treated as a pony and I can get into "pony space". It's just like sub space where you feel part of a different reality.
5) You often wear unique costumes, with original colors. Are you closely involved in the creation of all this fascinating wardrobe?
Seeing I make almost all my outfits myself I'd say definitely! Making my own stuff allows me to express myself exactly the way I want to and I'm always dressed uniquely at parties and shoots.
6) We have seen you alongside Nicci Tristan for some photowork. How did the two of you get together originally?
We have been friends so long it's hard to remember how it started. We met online at some point and being so similar in our fetishes we were immediately drawn toward each other. We have visited each other and we even manage to get quite a bit of partying in together, which is no small feat considering we live on opposite sides of the globe.
7) Are you a frequent attendee of Fetish events and did you had the chance to travel a lot as a guest/performer/visitor?
I'm a fetish party maniac, I guess. I have visited parties and events all over the world and met some wonderful people in the process. Last year I was in Australia, Jamaica and all over Europe and this year I'll visit Florida and Canada... Europe goes without saying now, doesn't it?
8) What’s the inspiration behind your model name?
Katja is the first name that popped into my head when someone first asked me about my female name. I love cats so Lynx was my natural choice.. it has a nice fetishy ring to it, I think.
9) Do you have anything special planned for your upcoming appearance in Montreal for the Fetish Weekend event?
As always I plan to do some local shoots with photographers or ones that are attending the fetish events as well. I might do a catwalk show if any label is interested in having me and I might shoot some more footage for the music video I'm directing. In any case, I'm sure I'll have a blast on my first trip to Canada.
