Whoa! Warning: solid danger ahead! Isn't this model so dangerously attractive?

1) What’s up, Kat? We’re curious to know more about your ethnical background…

Well I am of Russian and Middle Eastern descent, pretty much my grandmother was a gypsy. And a bank robber, and a rum runner, I would like to think my life is going to be as interesting as hers. And I have a lot to live up to. My grandfather on my mother's side is full-blooded Native American, he used to hang dead birds from trees, I remember running into them as a kid, freaked me out.

2) Can you tell us when did you start modeling? And why alternative themes?

I started modeling around 18. It's not so much alternative themes as I got into artistic themes. I always was an artist, then I realized my art would only be accepted if I devoted myself to alternative. One day, everything is going to be alternative anyway, and everyone will have to discover some new shock for the masses.

3) Is there a thin line between your modeling personality and your own private life? Do you like to "play out" in your intimate relationships?

Of course!!! I take pride in the fact I do not live a double life like many other fetish models/performers. I try to be as real as possible. Any crazy thing I do onstage, is something I probably did in the bedroom first. I think it is fun to make your relationships just as artistic as your pictures. Some of the things I have done, so pretty, but probably so creepy to others.

4) Do you still have in mind more tattoo/piercing work? What would you like to express more by any possible future designs?

Definitely, piercing to me is so constant. I will always do play piercings to relieve that everyday stress. I have my body pretty much mapped for tattoos, as I have to when I have this much ink, but I will always get more. Tattoos are a story to tell, and I definitely haven't closed the book yet.

5) What are your plans regarding the creation of your own clothing designs?

I hope to start a new line this year and get it out there, published in magazines, worn by a select few models I have my eye on, and maybe a fashion show. By next year I will have a base to work off of and I hope for it to become full-time work. I believe I have something slightly different than other emerging companies. The designs are different and quite possible ugly and that's why I adore them and others will too.

6) Taxidermy school? Please explain.

Well, Dead things have always interested me. There is something nostalgic and ancient about it. It serves two purposes, well actually three, accreditation that will earn me lots of money, skills I can use with Crash Trash Designs, my clothing company, and further completing my quest to have my home look like a creepy museum.

7) Ultimate Question time: so……. why latex? Why do models go wild about that fabric?

In my opinion a majority of models go wild about the fabric because of its price, it's a sign of power in the alternative scene. I, on the other hand, go wild about it because of my personal love of medical fetish. I love the smell of it, the feel of something so medically clean clinging to my skin. I want to create that alter power of latex in my designs, I want people to appreciate latex as a piece of art, not as a status symbol.

8) What can an audience expect from a Kat Kalashnikov performance?

Ha, ha pig masks, sledgehammers, blood, does that say enough? I try to incorporate S&M with one or several of my nightmares and see what happens.

9) Would you like to explore more BDSM projects, at some point? How about intricate shibari art?

Of course, I try everything once. Shibari was actually my first photoshoot and I loved it, I would like to find a wonderful rigger to assist me in doing shows with shibari incorporated, I think it would make something like floggers or bloodletting, aesthetically pleasing to the eye, or more so than it is already.

10) So… where’s the glorious official website? Any plans?

Yes I actually do have plans to run a paysite in the future, hence the no nudes yet. That will probably come out next year of so after schooling is finished, unless I should pose naked while stuffing a coyote *ponders*

11) Gaaah! You’ll probably be at FetishCon 2010 this coming September! Will this be your first visit? Any memories, if not? There’ll be no excuses for us to meet then, right? :D

Yes! This will be my first visit! I'm already so excited, and have booked so many awesome photographers. In particular, I can't wait to buy the hell out of some latex hoods... mmm... androgyny.

12) Consequently, could we just put you in one of our bags and make a little trip to Montreal where you’ll be introduced to the Fetish Cult Sirens Dreamland Team? (or something like that…)

I like Canada :) heard you can do even crazier shows there *plots epicness*
