Coming from the West Coast, here's a very friendly model who's not afraid of the Dark Side...

1) Can you tell us what made you start modeling… and why did you became interested in alternative themes?

When I was in high school I had a couple of friends pursuing photography. They asked me to model for them a few times, and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to continue on my own. Alternative modeling was the natural course for me, since I've always been into gothic and darker themes.

2) What would you say were your principal inspirations when you became involved in art in general?

My principal inspirations were mainly from my favorite fantasy artists (Louis Royo, Stephanie Law, Yoshitaka Amano, and others). The music I listen to also inspires me - whether it's black industrial, gothic symphony, or progressive electronica - each album creates a different feeling which begs expression.

3) Can you claim that there’s a thin line between your private life and your modeling activities? In other words, do you “play” with others in time of intimacy?

It can be a thin line when it comes to fetish play, but I would never "play" with someone's emotions. When I'm on a photo shoot, it's strictly that, but there have been times when I've done a shoot with someone I was already play-partners with. Those can make the best photos, because the sexuality and emotions between the two people are very real.

4) What would you say is your main weakness towards clothing & accessories? Are you a shoe person or corset fanatic or…? And what is that thing about latex that drives any model wild?

I am definitely a corset fanatic! Leather, silk, velvet, I love them all. Latex is just such a sensual material; it feels great on your skin, and flatters your curves. Plus, it's shiny!

5) What can you share with us about your interest in vampires? It goes a bit further than just watching popular movies, doesn’t it?

Yes, it does. I've been a part of the vampire community since I was old enough to be a member. There are so many misconceptions and flat out lies out there though, that I tend not to talk about it unless asked.

6) Do you consider right now that you’re a skilled bellydancer? How many different styles can there be out there?

I am only a beginner. I hope one day to be able to call myself skilled though! There are many different styles, from many different regions. My personal style is a blend of Egyptian, tribal and gothic.

7) What are your favorite tastes in music and how is this important in your own creative activities? You are also a singing, aren’t you?

Yes, I am a singer. My personal vocal style is Classical / Operatic, but I also absolutely love singing Dark Jazz / Funeral Jazz. This is reflected in my musical tastes, as I listen to a lot of Symphonic Metal or Doom Metal with classical vocals, and Darkwave which has more of the jazz style vocals. The music I listen to is a constant inspiration when it comes to my own singing, and where I would like to take it in the future.

8) How would you describe the fetish scene in British-Columbia these days?

I'd say that BC has a pretty strong fetish scene. From my experience on Vancouver Island, there are a lot of friendly, kinky people there of all ages, who love to have fun and learn from each other. You can find anything from weekly meetings, to monthly play-parties, and of course private sessions. I look forward to making more friends there!

9) We have welcomed another Siren based in BC, the unique Maiwan… do you think that your paths could cross at some point? And what is your degree of comfort working alongside other models?

I love Maiwan! Her and I have passed a few compliments back and forth already, and I would be honored to work with her some time! I really enjoy working with other models. Each new model I work with brings something different to the photos, and I end up learning and having fun at the same time.

10) Is there a vintage classical actress to you would like to portray for a photo assignment in the future? Or even a comic book heroine or popular fantasy character?

Many! I love the Jazz Era Beauties, and certainly want to do a few shoots like that at some point. As for fantasy characters, I have such a long list of ideas in my head, but most of them require the help of a very talented fashion designer or make-up artist. I would LOVE to do a fetish shoot as the Borg Queen from Star Trek: First Contact, but I would need the right team of people to do it justice!

11) Are there many favorite photographers right now that you’d like to work with in the near future?

There certainly are! Most of them live a good bit away from me though, and although their prices are worth their work, my recent move back to BC has left me quite broke. I can only hope that in the future I'll have such an opportunity!

12) You seem to have some ties in Montreal… do you consider that it will be absolutely essential that we meet on your next visit (you can just say “Yes!”)? :D

Haha, yes, I have some family there, and would love to meet up with you during my next visit! Also, I've always wanted to be a part of Montreal Fetish Weekend, which I haven't yet had the chance to attend!
