1) At which point did you discover that you were attracted to makeup & photo work?
I was obsessed with both at a young age. I loved getting into my mother's makeup and posing for the camera. It was about four years ago that I turned it into my profession. I am now a professional makeup artist for Chanel. I dabbled with modeling as a child, but it was about a year ago I modeled for a friend in photography school. Lately in the past few months, it has just blown up.
2) Are you self-thaught or did you study rigorously under a professional program?
I gained my position through self taught makeup application. It was later I was sent to many courses by Chanel in which I learned so much more.
3) Do you get equal satisfaction in applying beauty makeup versus creating SFX makeup?
I love beauty makeup, it's where I started. But I find myself wanting to get my hands in more SFX makeup. I've only had a taste, I want more.
4) For modeling assignments, you seem to prepare in advance and do some cardio… how much do you take care of yourself to look so splendid in the final work?
Splendid? aww. To be honest, I have been slacking on the cardio. But, typically I do cardio, a bit of starvation, and a lot of sexual activity.
5) Can you recall the first horror film that you’ve seen? What made you become such a big horror fan?
My first horror film that I watched was The Exorcist. I was no more than nine years old sneaking around with friends to watch this forbidden movie. That was when it became and obsession.
6) Would you prefer to be the star of a zombie flick… or rather handle all the special makeup? ;)
I'd much rather do the makeup.
7) Are you involved in the fetish scene, besides modeling? Do you go out at some local events, for example?
Ha! there is no local fetish scene here. I have to travel to do such things. But, yes, I have dipped a toe or two into the New Orleans fetish scene.
8) Do you have plans to expand your exposure on the internet? Why isn’t there an official website yet? :D
I am constantly expanding my exposure on the internet. You can find me on many sites. I have been procrastinating on finding a graphic designer to build my website. Any takers?
9) What fellow artists are still an inspiration to you? Any current favorite models, photographers, etc?
David Lachapelle's work is definitely an inspiration. I love any of Dita von Teese, Bernie Dexter, or Mosh's work.
10) Do you prefer cheesy horror/sci-fi movies of the 50s or current gore-drenched low-budget productions?
All of the above. I am into all horror movies.
11) What disappoints you more about the general public’s perception of female models?
That we are all a size 0 trying to be on America's Next Top Model. That, and it's easy. The best photos I take are when I am the most uncomfortable.
12) Have you ever visited Canada for any assignements or just as a simple tourist?
We’re waiting!!! Not yet! But I love to travel. Perhaps a photographer in Canada will want to shoot with me? ;]
