FetishCon 2009
When we went to Toronto last summer, we met current guest Siren Thorn, future guest Sylence and photographer Paul Terrence. Since we all hit it off so well and all these nice people were going to the 2009 FetishCon, we deputized Paul to come back with a little report for us. Here are some of his observations:

A call rings out to the minds and ears of a community eagerly waiting the summoning of like minded souls. It is the ninth annual Fetish Convention which is held in each year during the summer in Tampa, Florida. This year’s event went from August 13th-17th.
Every year thousands of fetishists attend the convention and this year was no different. From foot lovers to femdoms to riggers, photographers to producers, web developers to a dazzling array of scantily clad models, almost everyone in the fetish community would be attending, and the ones who weren’t were seriously going to miss out.
Traveling with the beautiful fetish model Sylence, (Club Sylence, Model Mayhem, FetLife) we made our way to The Hyatt Regency hotel which has been the home of the convention for the past few years now. There we found our good friends Maxine X and Scott Rhodes who had arrived a few days earlier in preparation for being one of the guests of honor. Other friends attending were Orabella, Darren and Siren Thorn. We were anxious and excited to finally be there but all the events were still yet to come, such as the famous ‘meet and greet’ party which was that first evening.

The meet and greet gathering was jam packed with fetish models, photographers, producers, make up artists, webmasters, videographers and other fetish lovers. Extraordinary costumes, taped nipples, and staggering stilettos were sights to be seen as everyone weaved and mingled through the evening of hails and hellos, rope and drinks. People met, photo and video shoots were scheduled, drinks were drunk and ropes were tightened around bodies with gagged mouths. It was fantastic, the first exposure to the anticipation and excitement of what the convention was to hold.
We wake up the next morning with smiles on our faces. Exhausted and excited we get ready for the first full day of Fetish Convention mayhem.
During the day, the convention had many fetish demonstrations to offer, such as “Rope Bondage for Porn”, “How to be a Successful Model”, and “Pain is for Pleasure, Not for Injury”. Many people attended the demos, and although no one can attend them all, they are all great tools for future fetish fun and projects.

There were also the numerous booths of models, photographers, and sellers of various fetish tools such as paddles, medical gadgets, and of course fetish clothing and shoes.
The evenings were saucy fun, spending time with a variety of fetish attendees, sexy models and open individuals all gathered half naked, and in barely their swimming attire within the hotel’s 24 hour hot tub. This was the place to be to unwind, relax, have drinks and indulge in some kinky, sexy fun with other uninhibited soon to be friends.
People in the hot tub and by the pool side would giggle and cheer in excitement when the occasional silhouettes of couples and threesomes could be seen in the hotel room windows engaged in various sexual positions. The sexy soup of debauchery would last off and on all night until people began dispersing in the early morning hours around 7am.
Between the photo and video shoots that Sylence was hired for, we were able to meet some great models such as Nicotine, Jean Bardot, Mai Mao (Model Mayhem, official site), Maya Sintress, Anastasia Pierce, Jade Indica and Stacey Burke.

But all great things must eventually and regrettably, come to an end. The last evening of Fetish Con 2009 was of course spent at the annual Fetish Ball. Here is where people party hard and then part ways until next time. But not before this event showed off some entertaining and talented sights. Nicotine and Miss Evelyn Rose gave a great performance, as Nicotine was tied up in a straight jacket and gagged, and then Miss Evelyn Rose had her way with her.

The great stage was later shared also by the incredible circus sideshow antics of Reverend B. Dangerous who could proudly show off painful tasks such as swinging a chained cinder block by his tongue, hammering nails into his nasal cavity and having an inverted bed of nails pressing into his bare back by the standing weight of 2 or 3 people.

Fetish Convention is a great experience and networking event for everyone, from those who have a slight tendency towards fetish, to those who carry out their numerous and various fetishes as a fulltime lifestyle.
We truly had a great first Fetish Con, which most certainly will not be our last.
