Andree de Villers
Versatility is the main word here, folks, when discovering the fabulous work of this sensational model!

1) Hello Miss Andree, can you tell us a bit about your beginnings in the industry and… do you have French roots, judging by your name?

I started out modeling about two years ago in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It was never originally my intention to get into modeling as a profession, I simply wanted to have some pretty pictures like the rest of my friends, but after my first shoot I was hooked!! I do have somewhat of a French background; my father and his family are from Montreal!

2) Are there any other established models out there that were (or are still) inspiration to you?

There are so many established models that have been and will continue to be a great influence on me; I would say that my favorite current models that I drool over for constant inspiration would be Mosh, Kumi Monster and Lara Jade.

3) When someone requires your skill for a nude project, is there any kind of research you do to determine the “seriousness” of the proposal?

Certainly. I always review their websites and online portfolios. If I am not familiar with a photographer I always check their references – calling a model who has worked with them in the past for a testimonial is always a great idea!

4) How does working on the technical aspects of photography improve your skills as a model?

I believe that learning how things operate on the other end of the camera is vital for learning how to model properly. Understanding how lighting, framing and angles affect the overall image makes you more aware of your positioning. I feel it also goes a long way in understanding your own best angles and lighting!

5) So how does it feel to be a numerous times winner of the Model Mayhem Pic of the Day? :D

It feels amazing! I have always have a deep love and admiration for fine art nude pieces and it is the best feeling knowing I am able to share pieces of art with others – and they are able to feel inspired by them the same way I have been inspired by countless works of art in the past.

6) As for your skills as a makeup artist… are you self-taught or did you follow a precise training program?

I am self-taught for the most part! I have attended many one-day training events in the past, but I have certainly not gone through an official certification process for my makeup skills. It’s something that I have a natural talent for and enjoy. However, I do not have the time to do a course, nor would I want to do makeup and only makeup for the rest of my career!!

7) How would you describe the modeling scene in Toronto, be it mainstream or fetish?

Well you have to remember that I have recently moved from Halifax, Nova Scotia so to me the modeling scene here in Toronto is endless, but the reality of the situation is that it is dwindling here in Toronto. I work as a petite model for runway events which I find there is not a lot of here in Toronto, however I have enjoyed a lot of success working in the fetish scene.

8) Do you attend fetish events? Have you ever considered performing on stage for one?

Yes, I have attended many fetish events, and certainly enjoy performing at them! I will be featured with ArkAngelArt at Torture Garden the weekend of May 24th in Toronto, Ontario – very excited for our erotic body painting performance – we have never disappointed – for more information check out www.arkangelart.com.

9) Do you have the chance to sometimes come to Montreal for assignments? How does the idea of ever becoming a Vampire Cult Siren strike you? :D

I love working in Montreal and would always be down for some extra work there – I must say I am intrigued at the opportunity of becoming a Vampire Cult Siren :D
